Signature Waived: Are green cards without a signature valid for Form I-9?
A Permanent Resident Card that have “signature waived” in the signature field are acceptable documents for “Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification” as long as it otherwise meets the requirements of an acceptable document– it is not expired; reasonably appears to be genuine; and relates to the person presenting it.
Since February 2015, USCIS has waived the signature requirement for people entering the United States for the first time as lawful permanent residents after obtaining an immigrant visa abroad.
